However you stumbled across my crazy little place, welcome. This website originally started as a place for me to practice being mindful and write, but it is slowly becoming evident that a greater purpose for me is in store. Since January of 2016, I have embarked on a way of life, a Ketogenic way of living, that has simply changed me. I have dedicated my spare time to researching and learning everything that I can about living low-carb and sugar free, and in turn, I have managed to lose over 40 lbs! I am on my way to the last 30, and I hope that this website of mine will help me accomplish that feat.
Along the way, I became aware that others were interested in my WOE (way of eating) and my lifestyle, and others have been inquiring as to how to do it, what do I eat, what to I limit and more! So, a couple of months back, I decided to start a Facebook group devoted to the Ketogenic diet, just for women. Women have it tough with criticism, and I wanted to create a safe haven, having been a part of so many groups with AWFUL people. The biggest thing that I have learned is that NOTHING works for EVERYONE, and everyone is just a little bit different. Being in a group free from criticism allow for an open floor discussion without fear of being chastised, and in turn, allows more women to feel comfortable in their own skin.
Living low-carb, sugar free (high fat / moderate protein LOL) is a way of life, and it is natural, but it has come with lots of alterations to day to day living, so this site will include recipes, best practices (for me), OTHER’s best practices even if they aren’t fit for me, and fitness tips and tricks to help you on your journey to your best self.
